Getting to Crosby

By Road

Crosby is well-connected to the UK motorway network. From the M6 take the M62, M58 or M56.

By Train

Travelling to Crosby by train has never been easier or faster, when it’s only 2 hours 13 minutes from Central London on Virgin Trains’ state-of-the-art tilting Pendolino trains in Liverpool. Onboard you can enjoy space to relax and unwind, Wi-Fi internet, power sockets and Quiet Zones for those who need a break from the BlackBerry.

London Midland Trains, First Transpennine Express and Northern Rail also run routes into Liverpool from all major UK cities.

Once in Liverpool, the Merseyrail train network has good links to other parts of the city region including Crosby, Waterloo, Seaforth and Blundellsands (Hall Road).

By Air

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is only 15 miles away and offers over 60 inbound UK and European routes. Carriers such as easyJet, Ryanair, Wizz Air, FlyBe and Blue Air offer convenient and cost effective air travel from most major European cities. Crosby can be reached on the Northern Line of the MerseyRail Electric Train service by getting on a Shuttle bus at the airport, bound for Liverpool South Parkway, then taking the Northern Line to Crosby and Blundellsands.

Manchester Airport is around an hours drive from Crosby and offers many direct long haul routes in to the North West. Carriers include British Airways, Emirates, Etihad and KLM.


Liverpool is served by the Sea Terminal. Arrive in Liverpool along the River Mersey and get the best views of the world-famous Liverpool Waterfront.

Ferry routes between Liverpool and Belfast are operated by Stena Line Irish Sea Ferries, between Liverpool and Dublin by P&O Ferries, and between Liverpool and the Isle of Man by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.

The City of Liverpool Cruise Terminal is located on Liverpool Waterfront, part of the city’s UNESCO World Heritage Site. Magnificent cruise vessels frequently berth in the city, and from 2012, cruises have been able to start and finish from the city.

Public Transport Directions
